Modernization of local industrial factories is an important policy which the Workers’ Party of Korea adheres to consistently.
The Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK stressed to make vigorous efforts to modernize local industrial factories throughout the country with those in Kimhwa County of Kangwon Province as a model.
When local industrial factories are modernized and their production is put on a normal track in all cities and counties of the country, lots of problems can be solved in developing the economy and improving the people’s livelihood.
It is important for local areas to consider the supply of raw materials as a key importance in settling problems, to intensify the campaign of learning from advanced technology and to make proper calculation of local conditions and needs, thus introducing the saving-oriented, automated and streamlined production lines in their industrial sectors.
