The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said at the historic policy speech delivered at the Seventh Session of the Fourteenth Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK that the five-year plan has it as objectives to achieve sustained economic growth and improve remarkably the people’s living standards.
Kim Jong Un said that, when the five-year plan is implemented, economic work system, ties among sectors and independent economic foundations will be readjusted and reinforced and accordingly the overall national economy will be put on a growing basis and substantial changes will be brought about in solving problems of the people’s food, clothing and housing.
He continued that, through the dynamic struggle to carry out the decisions of the Eighth Party Congress, the DPRK further strengthened lifeline and integrity of the economy, actively promoted normalization of production, renovation of production lines and provision of domestic raw and other materials and launched a vigorous drive for building 50 000 flats in Pyongyang and for provincial construction and rural construction, to translate the WPK’s plans into brilliant reality.
Kim Jong Un noted that carrying out the five-year plan would provide a guarantee that enables to promote economic development of the country and improvement of the people’s living standards and advance with confidence towards a more gigantic struggle of next stage.
He stressed that the DPRK government, which takes responsibility for destiny and livelihood of the people, should set it as a correct orientation of the struggle to implement the five-year plan and execute it forcefully, and thereby bring about good results with sure.
