The young revolutionaries of new generation, the revolutionaries born of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU), who held high President Kim Il Sung as a centre of unity and leadership and were boundlessly faithful to him in the initial days of the Korean revolution, were the proud first generation with indomitable faith.
The first members of the DIU heartily respected and followed Kim Il Sung as they were fascinated by his personality as a peerlessly great man and always found a way out whenever the revolution was in a predicament.
Recollecting the days when formation of the DIU was prepared, Kim Il Sung noted that its members were not insignificant people, they were virile, young talented people; they could make speeches, write treatises, compose songs and were good at self-defence and they could “match one hundred or one thousand” as we say nowadays.
As Kim Il Sung recollected, the revolutionaries born of the DIU were the fighters who opened up a new era of Juche in the initial days of the Korean revolution.
