On March 8, the International Women’s Day, the women in the DPRK are presented with bouquets of affection and respect in every family, village and work place.
It was since President Kim Il Sung liberated the country from the Japanese colonial rule and gave the Korean women the equal rights with men that the Korean women, who had not known the significance of the International Women’s Day and had been kept in darkness and fetters, came to mark their own holiday and praise their pride and dignity of being the Korean women.
Since then, they have become the flowers of the country, life and happiness while being blessed with the leader and the general.
Today the DPRK women make dynamic efforts as performers of building of a powerful country under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and, in this course, many of them add glory to their lives as Heroines of the Republic, Labour Heroines, the People’s Scientists, the People’s Teachers, the People’s Sportswomen, the People’s Actresses and the meritorious persons of socialist patriotism.
