Stalin Order Awarded to Leader Kim Jong Il by Standing Presidium of Congress of People’s Deputies to the Soviet Union

It was conveyed by S. Umalatova, chairwoman of the Standing Presidium of Congress of People’s Deputies to the Soviet Union on August 20, 1998.

Umalatova paid close attention to the DPRK which unchangingly advanced, upholding the banner of socialism even after the collapse of socialism in Soviet Union and other countries in East Europe. She was very impressed by the Korean people who were making innovations in socialist construction while frustrating offensives of the imperialist allied forces to stifle the Korean-style socialism, clamouring loudly about the “end” of socialism. Through several visits to the DPRK she was keenly aware that the secret of Korean-style socialism wins victory after victory as it is under the outstanding leadership of leader Kim Jong Il.

Umalatova conveyed Stalin Order for leader Kim Jong Il to an official concerned when she visited the DPRK.
