Oil Painting “Torch of Juche Shining over Africa”

It was presented to leader Kim Jong Il on August 31, 1982 by Fred Argvobly, chief of the branch of men of literature and arts, Ghanaian National Committee for the Study of the Juche idea.

It depicted the African people who dynamically turned out in the struggle for freedom and liberation as indicated by the Juche idea.

A man holding high the torch where the letters JUCHE were written is in the center of the oil painting with the rising sun as a background. The man who appeals passionately stretching his both muscular arms shows vividly the theme of the painting. Broken pieces of iron chain are scattering around the man telling the truthfulness of the Juche idea. People running towards the torch are painted in the background. The black star painted in the center symbolizes the Republic of Ghana.

The oil painting tells that the Juche idea is the only banner of the struggle the African people should hold fast to.

It is 190 centimeters wide and 135 centimeters long.
