Kim Jong Il said he had wanted them to hold a consultative meeting and offered seats to them.
The officials were surprised.
They earnestly requested Kim Jong Il to have rest that day as it was his birthday.
He said that he understood their minds, but it was impossible to have a rest because he had many things to do. Kim Jong Il said that the consultative meeting would discuss measures to improve the people’s standard of living to a higher level.
As a result, that day a consultative meeting was held in the presence of Kim Jong Il to discuss the matter of improving the people’s livelihood.
