On October 9, 1990, President Kim Il Sung received a delegation headed by chairwoman Doi Takako of the Socialist Party of Japan, who visited the DPRK to attend events to celebrate the 45th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and arranged a luncheon for the delegation.

At the luncheon Doi said that the President was aged but looked youthful and asked him about the secret of his youthfulness.

With a smile on his face the President said that it was to live optimistically instead of worrying even before collapse of the heaven.

When Doi suggested a toast for his optimism, the President agreed with her by saying that four cups of liquor are OK because people drink three cups when they perform a sacrificial rite for the god, but they are more intelligent than the god.

And then, the President toasted together with members of her delegation.
