Jang Kil Bu, mother of an anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter Ma Tong Hui whom President Kim Il Sung recollected with deep emotion, was a woman revolutionary who brought up her children to be the dignified persons for the country.

She deemed it admirable when her son Ma did not yield to the Japanese imperialists but was killed by them. She valued the country, the people and the revolution more than the life of her son.

Not only her son Ma but her daughter and daughter-in-law could become fine revolutionaries thanks to her education.

Highly praising Jang, the President said that if all mothers educate their sons and daughters in a revolutionary way as she had done, their children could be great men and women.
