On June 25, 1950, President Kim Il Sung convened an extraordinary meeting of the DPRK Cabinet and declared to launch a decisive counteroffensive without delay and annihilate the invaders.

It was an immediate counteroffensive attack upon the enemy who provoked war against the DPRK.

Powerful counterattack was launched in all fronts in accordance with Kim Il Sung’s outstanding strategy.

Unfavourable war situation was at once turned into the favourable and units of the Korean People’s Army which had launched the counterattack marched swiftly toward the south while annihilating the invaders.

It was a miracle which had never been recorded in the world history of war.

A foreigner said as regards with the then war situation.

“It is unprecedented in the world history of war. It is a real miracle. The US could not calculate this.”
