On April 15, 1954 President Kim Il Sung greeted his significant birthday after the war.
Having known that officials are making preparations to congratulate him on his birthday, Kim Il Sung scolded them and persuaded them not to do so, by saying that it is impossible for the Premier to enjoy birthday foods when the people are still in difficulties. Then he set off a journey of field guidance to the agricultural sector in the early morning of his birthday.
