    The Workers’ Party of Korea is the dignified Party holding President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il as the eternal leaders and its 70-year long history is a brilliant course adorned with victories and honors.

    First of all, 70-year long history of the WPK adorned with victories and honors is an immortal course in which it has been strengthened and developed into an invincible Party with Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as its only guiding ideology.

    Guiding ideology of a party is the basic ideal illuminating the aim of the party and the principles and ways for its realization. Character and mission of a party is defined and the main orientation for the party building and activity is regulated, by the guiding ideology. The party with correct guiding ideology performs its historic mission displaying its invincible might, but the party without correct guiding ideology is unable to escape from failure and frustration and, in the long run, makes a mess of the revolution.

    As it is the people-first doctrine that is the first in the history of human thought, Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the greatest guiding ideology in the era of Juche whose truthfulness and vitality has been proved.

    Regarding Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the starting point of Party building and activities, the WPK has considered the popular masses as the main in the Party building and activities, subordinated everything to enhancing the position and role of the popular masses and firmly maintained the independent and creative stands in the revolution and construction.

    It modeled the entire Party with a unique idea based on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and thus constantly consolidated the Party organizationally and ideologically.

    With Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the guideline in leading the revolution and construction, the WPK embodied thoroughly Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism in drawing up all lines and policies in scientific way and implemented them by organizing and mobilizing the popular masses, thus advancing the revolution and construction dynamically. That the WPK has emerged victorious in succession in the severe confrontation with the imperialists for over one century holding fast to the Songun idea, the theory of Songun politics rooted in Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism holds a distinguished position in the history of the WPK’s building and activities.

    All victories of the WPK are the victory of the revolutionary ideology of the President and the Chairman and the invincibility of the Party lies in the invincibility of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

    The 70-year long history of the WPK adorned with victories and honors is also an immortal course in which it has advanced in the way Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il did and with the immortal leadership achievements of the peerlessly great men as a cornerstone.

    In the whole course of the Party building and activities, the President and the Chairman built the Party into the ideological purity and organizational integral whole in which the Party’s monolithic ideological system and the monolithic leadership system were firmly established, and strengthened and developed it into the motherly Party which is responsible for and looks after the destiny of the popular masses, the experienced and seasoned Party with high leadership art and the Party with bright future that ensured firmly the inheritance of its leadership. This historic course was the significant days when Kim Il Sung’s and Kim Jong Il’s mode of Party building and activity was born.

    Great Kim Il Sung’s and Kim Jong Il’s mode of Party building and activity is the example of the Party building and activity in the era of Juche whose validity and invincibility have been demonstrated to the full through the Korean revolution practice. From the early period, the WPK created a new history of miracle and innovation in all fields of the revolution and construction holding aloft the banner of imbuing the whole society with Kimilsungism. And it resolutely safeguarded independence of the country and nation, built the Republic into a single-minded politico-ideological giant and an invincible military giant and laid solid foundations for the building of an economic giant, a socialist thriving nation, with the revolutionary leadership of Songun.

    That the WPK fully displays its dignity and might as the organizer and leader of all victories and honors of Juche Korea today is attributable to the fact that it has conducted the Party building and activities as intended by great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

    The WPK shines more brilliantly as the Party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il adorned with the august names of the peerlessly great men generation after generation as it holds the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un in high esteem.

    Great inheritance leads to immortality of the leader’s ideology and feats.

    Marshal Kim Jong Un proclaimed the Party as the Party of the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and formulated the great leaders’ revolutionary ideology as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism to put it forward as the immortal guiding ideology of the WPK.
