    Songmun Revolutionary Site is located in Samsok District of Pyongyang City, DPRK. It is a historic place associated with the immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung in strengthening and developing the highest power organ and noble traits of Kim Jong Il who was loyal to the President.

    On January 7, 1951, President Kim Il Sung visited it in order to strengthen activities of the highest power organ though it was wartime.

    The President chose sites for a building of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly and an air-raid shelter and paid deep concern to the working, lodging and boarding conditions of the officials.

    Later, he visited it several times to indicate the way of the Presidium of the SPA and saw that the revolutionary method of work and popular working spirit were established among the officials.

    When he visited it with the President, Kim Jong Il went into the air-raid shelter, chose a place for the President’s car park and confirmed the routine which the President would go through to the supreme headquarters, which implanted loyalty to the leader in the minds of the officials.
