Celebrations were held in Italy, South Africa, Russia, the UK, Denmark and Sweden and friendship gathering held in Germany to mark the 83^rd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present there were figures of political, public, academic and press circles and members of associations of friendship with the DPRK and the Juche idea study organizations in relevant countries.

Immortal classic works of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, photos and books showing the successes made by the DPRK people in their struggle for building a powerful socialist country were on display at the venues.

Speakers noted that Chairman Kim Jong Il was a great father of the DPRK people who devoted his whole life to the DPRK people’s wellbeing, and a distinguished leader who strengthened and developed the Workers’ Party of Korea into an invincible revolutionary Party.

They highly praised the big successes being made by the DPRK people in their struggle to implement the programmatic tasks put forward by the 8^th Congress of the WPK by firmly uniting in one mind behind the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Expressing their solidarity to the DPRK people’s struggle for accomplishing the cause of socialism and the anti-imperialist, anti-US struggle, speakers stressed that they would vitalize the study and dissemination of the Juche idea.

A congratulatory letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted with applause of participants.
