Consolidating Teachers’ Forces Is Primary

Now the educational sector makes dynamic efforts to narrow to the maximum the differences of education level between the capital and provinces, urban and rural areas in order to implement the decisions of the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea that set forth the consolidating the teachers’ forces as a primary task.

The Commission of Education in the DPRK puts stress on narrowing the differences of education level between the capital and provinces, urban and rural areas and works scrupulously to introduce postgraduates qualified for educators as university instructors and researchers and to increase the ranks of teachers in provincial areas.

Positive efforts are made to improve the major qualifications and educational practical qualifications of the instructors in provincial universities and teachers in rural areas in a way that the upper body helps the lower and the urban areas assist the rural areas under a close tie between provinces, cities and counties.

Officials in the educational sector work properly to actively send the excellent educators of the universities and schools in the capital to the universities in the provinces to help education in those areas, launch vigorous campaigns of overtaking and learning from others and swapping experience with them and raise the strong winds of improving the qualities of the teachers so as to bring about substantial change in education.

Common education sector makes effective efforts to improve the teaching ability and major qualifications of the teachers in a way that the educators of courses at all levels go to schools in rural areas to give courses, hold educational meeting for a joint review, create new teaching methods, etc. on the basis of successes and experiences gained in guiding education of schools in farms.

Not only the officials and educators in the educational sector but the officials in relevant areas are actively engaged in strengthening the teachers’ ranks quantitatively and qualitatively.
