    With the passage of time, the world progressive people boundlessly respect and admire Chairman Kim Jong Il who led to victory the cause of anti-imperialism and independence.

    As being praised by the world progressive people, Chairman Kim Jong Il was the great leader of the cause of anti-imperialism and independence.

    History records lots of reputed great persons who made contribution to the popular masses’ class and national liberation and human civilization.
    However, history records no one but Chairman Kim Jong Il who made epoch-making exploits for mankind.

    Chairman Kim Jong Il, who had made up his mind on Mt.
    Ryongnam to bring about a victory in the revolutionary cause of Juche, held high the red flag of revolution associated with the whole life of President Kim Il Sung as an eternal banner of human cause of independence.

    The international situation in the 1960s was complicated, indeed.
    Modern revisionists appeared in the world revolutionary movement slandered and abused the working-class leaders to plunge the world revolutionary people into confusion with nonsense.

    He clearly defined that such view was a serious error caused by the lack of political insight and the sculpture was a piece of work which is to propagate the capitulationist theory of “disarmament” by the revisionists who submitted to the pressure of the US imperialists and compromised with them.
    He sternly instructed that it was preposterous and absurd talk of stupid persons to preach the people to break tank to reforge plow when the aggressive moves of the US imperialists became ever more unscrupulous.
    He said that it is necessary not to lay down arms as it is the era of revolution, the era of struggle and, furthermore, the DPRK people should not live in peaceful mood even for a moment because the country is under the occupation of the US imperialists.

    Cherishing firm faith in and iron will of victory of the cause of socialism, the cause of anti-imperialism and independence, Chairman Kim Jong Il conducted energetic ideological and theoretical activities to achieve great ideological and theoretical feats.
    In the end of the 20^th century, the world socialist movement suffered from unexpected trials and difficulties.
    Mean machinations of renegades of socialism resulted in tragic events that the red flags that had fluttered in many countries for scores of years and socialism collapsed in succession.
    The imperialists drank a toast of “victory” and the speakers of capitalism clamored about the “end of socialism”.
    Asserting that “the ideal of socialism itself was wrong”, they said that “the 21^st century would be the century without socialism”.
    Under such circumstance, Chairman Kim Jong Il made public in succession the historic works that dealt a heavy blow to the criminal moves of imperialists and reactionaries of history and casted a light on the world which was in darkness.

    Every classic work made public by Chairman Kim Jong Il was the most powerful bomb of the revolution heavily destroying the camp of the enemy which resort to lie, slander and vicious sophism and the source of strength that gave fresh energy and encouragement to the camp of socialism that was collapsed.

    With an iron will to vitalize and bring about a new upsurge to the world socialist movement which was suffering from pains caused by temporary crisis, Chairman Kim Jong Il put his heart and soul into the movement for rebuilding socialism.

    In March 1997 prior to the 5^th anniversary of publishing the Pyongyang Declaration, Chairman Kim Jong Il provided a programmatic guide to build the revolutionary party and achieve victorious advance of the world socialist movement under the banner of the Pyongyang Declaration.
    He energetically led the political parties that signed the Pyongyang Declaration to building independent and mass party and further enhance the international unity and solidarity true to the spirit of the Declaration.

    Thanks to the distinguished leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il, the imperialists’ piecemeal-defeat strategy to obliterating the world socialist movement was ruined and the world socialist movement could readjust its rank and pave a new path for a fresh advance.
