    The Mirae Shop built wonderfully on the bank of the Pothong River in beautiful Pyongyang is permeated with affection and benevolence of Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un towards the scientists and technicians.

    Chairman Kim Jong Il who considered putting utmost importance to science and technology as the strategic line for the building of a thriving socialist country and set up the scientists and technicians as the vanguards in the building of a prosperous country saw to build a shop for the scientists and technicians in the last period of his life.

    In January 2012 when the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the shop built for the scientists and technicians said that he felt ache in his heart for not having had Chairman Kim Jong Il in the shop. Telling that the shop should be managed well as desired by the Chairman, he named it “Mirae Shop”.

    Some years later he chose the site for a new one and solved every problem arising in its building in order to change the Mirae Shop which had opened in 2012 into a commercial service centre better in size and content.

    In March 2016 when he visited the newly built Mirae Shop the respected Marshal was very pleased by saying that the shop became larger than the previous one built as a modern commercial service centre which is a full embodiment of the convenience- and aesthetical beauty-first principle, that is, the model in commercial service sector of the country.

    He continued to say that all the salespersons should make service activities in a good manner and thus convey the immortal feats of the great Chairman Kim Jong Il forever.

    The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said with bright smile that he was satisfied with the simple looking at every counter full of various quality commodities produced in our country like cosmetics, daily necessities, electronics products and foodstuffs.

    He said that display of commodities is very important as shop is one of the levers for cultural life. He also said that his particular liking was that the shop arranged commodities in both useful and artistic way.

    He continued to say that the officials and salespersons of the shop should lend their ears to the voice of customers, from the viewpoint that the people’s demand is a criterion of service activities, and strive to steadily improve the service, positively introduce the advanced service method and take full measures to ensure the normal supply of goods in high demand.

    Thus our scientists and technicians can now get various kinds of quality goods like seasonal clothes, household goods and daily goods at the Mirae Shop under the affection and benevolence of respected Kim Jong Un.

    The Mirae Shop is a manifestation of devotion of respected Kim Jong Un who has paid indefatigable energy saying that science guarantees future.
