It was one day in June 2018 when the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the newly built Pyongyang Taedonggang Seafood Restaurant.
Looking round the interior of the first floor with large indoor pools which are full of high-grade live fish such as sturgeon, salmon and rainbow trout and sorts of shellfish, Kim Jong Un unexpectedly asked officials whether the people found it inconvenient to call the restaurant’s name.
At that time the restaurant was called the Okryu Live Fish Restaurant, Shop.
Listening to an official who said that the people felt a bit uneasy to call it, Kim Jong Un said that the restaurant should be renamed. He warmly advised the officials that, even though it was a service unit, it should be named so that the people could call it easily and its name could be suited to contents of its service.
Looking round the fish pools, Kim Jong Un thought for a while and said that it was advisable to name it the Pyongyang Taedonggang Seafood Restaurant.
