On June 6, 1961 President Kim Il Sung came to a venue of the Joint National Meeting of the Korean Children’s Union Organizations held in celebration of its 15th founding anniversary.
Kim Il Sung said that the day was not only a big holiday for the Children’s Union members but a very happy day for the adults.
Kim Il Sung who took the platform with the delegates to congratulate their holiday saw them marching in file and holding big floats of various kinds and responded them by waving his hat or a bunch of flowers at them.
After a while Kim Il Sung suggested to officials that he would go to a stadium that afternoon to see their mass gymnastics and to a theatre that evening to see their performance, saying that he is going to spend time of the day together with them though he is busy.
Kim Il Sung spent the whole day with the KCU members on their holiday.
