At the end of January 1951 when the Fatherland Liberation War was in height, President Kim Il Sung visited a commanding post of a unit of the People’s Army and taught commanders so that they could frustrate the enemy’s operation attempt and turn the war situation into the favourable.

Kim Il Sung told the commanders about the anti-tank battle suited to actual conditions of the DPRK.

Telling them that there are many non-paddy fields and swamps in the western region, and there are steep mountains in the middle and eastern region and their roads are on the passes or slopes, he said that the enemy tanks could not move without road and gave a hint to them by saying that it is their weak point.

He told them to organize teams to hunt tanks and said with easy words that, if a tank in front is destroyed, a tank in rear cannot move forward and the one which loses mobility is as same as a dead tiger.
