In the discourse Officials Should Become Communist Revolutionaries Who Are Possessed of the Party’s Original Ideals and Spirit as Their Mental Qualities given to Rodong Sinmun, organ of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea on October 10, 2024, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified political creed unique to the Party.

Saying that the nearly eight decades of the Party’s struggle to defend the red flag symbolizing its original ideals and spirit, represent the history of its preserving its nature and original features as a genuine party of the people, and following this course, the Party has administered the great people-first politics that is unprecedented in the political history of socialist ruling parties, Kim Jong Un elucidated that the people-first principle is not an abstract slogan, but it is the political creed unique to the Party, which permeates all its lines and policies and whose viability the DPRK people have experienced through their everyday life.
