In April 2019 when he visited a fish farm the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un stressed the need to hold on fish farming as an important policy task and noted that it is the Party’s intention to enable the people to lead an affluent life while having such high-grade fishes as a rainbow trout and freshwater salmon.

He pinpointed that scientific accuracy should be maintained before anything else in order to do fish farming well as planned and intended by the Party.

Saying that it is imperative to form a food chain in order to breed good kinds of fishes of high productivity in the natural environment, he taught in detail the methods of fish farming suited to the tastes of fishes according to species and to the natural, geographical and ecological environment of relevant regions.
