    It was on June 1, 1998 when Chairman Kim Jong Il gave a field guidance to Huichon, Jagang Province.

    When they noticed that the Chairman took a car on the narrow road of a mountainous town, the people followed it shouting hurrah in a crowd. Young people ran in the van. They recklessly came closer to the car window with the desire of seeing his benevolent image at nearer place.

    The Chairman told his driver to slow the car, saying that he could not pass by because many young people were running towards his car shouting hurrah and that they would be disappointed if he passed by them as he was busy.

    The car was slowed.

    At that moment the youth stopped running and surrendered his car arm in arm with each other as if they were ordered.

    Tears were running from the eyes of the young people who lined up for a scrum.

    The Chairman shook hands warmly towards them saying with emotion to an official who took a seat beside him and shed tears… Feelings of the people who are running towards my car shedding tears cannot be directed nor purchased with money. This is the true picture of single-hearted unity that can be found only in our country where the Party and the people are firmly united.

    The Chairman brought them up into such good people with noble idea The People Are My God, but he had confidence in victory in socialism and was encouraged by their loyalty.

    The people were out of his sight, but he kept looking out of the car window for a long time.
