Chairman of the Central Council of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK visited the then Kumsusan Memorial Palace in 1995. He expressed his impression as follows.

I believe that the Kumsusan Memorial Palace has been built thanks to the great faith and morality of Comrade Kim Jong Il who regards it as his lifetime mission and noble responsibility assumed before not only the DPRK people but the world revolutionary ones to hold high President Kim Il Sung as the eternal leader and carry forward and accomplish with credit the revolutionary cause started by the President.

While looking round the palace, I made sure strongly the truth that the President will be eternal as there is Comrade Kim Jong Il, and the belief that not only the cause of the Korean revolution but the cause of world socialism will be accomplished with sure despite manifold ordeals and difficulties in the history of politics and revolution as long as they are led by Comrade Kim Jong Il.

The truth that the leader is eternal only when his successor is great is the best answer that I found while visiting the palace and what I want to say to the world communist movement.
