There appeared a number of ideas in one million-year human history, but none of them served the accomplishment of the cause of independence.

Only with the foundation of the Juche idea, the mankind had a beacon of illuminating the road for independence.

President Kim Il Sung authored the great Juche idea elucidating that man is the master of everything and decides everything. He ushered in the new era of the Juche revolution and applied the Juche idea, thus leading several stages of social revolution to a brilliant victory and performing imperishable exploits in every field of the revolution and construction.

The Juche idea which was created and developed with success in practice of the Korean revolution is the eternal guideline for the people’s cause of independence.

As a revolutionary ideology based on an integrated system of the man-centered philosophical thought and the people-centred theory of revolution and leadership method, the Juche idea is a perfect guiding ideology of the revolution which illuminates the road for the people’s independence.

By establishing a man-centered outlook on the world, the Juche idea paved a way for man to make social history and shape his own destiny in an independent way with awareness that he is the master of the world and his own destiny.

The people-centered theory of revolution and leadership method provide a revolutionary and scientific theory, strategy, tactics and method which clarify the way for the people to successfully carry out the revolution and construction and accomplish the cause of independence even in difficult and complicated circumstances and conditions.

The great Juche idea is the most reasonable, universal and valid ideology that everyone who aspires after independence can readily sympathize with and accept as their own. This is proved by the glorious history of the Korean revolution which has traversed the proud road of victory under the banner of the Juche idea and the reality of today when desire for global independence gets stronger as the days go by thanks to the Juche idea.

The people-centred socialism of the Korean style is a genuine socialism where the popular masses are the masters of the country and society, and an invincible socialism that strikes its root deep in their life and living. When socialism collapsed in several countries in the last century, imperialist reactionaries made a big fuss about the “end” of socialism, but the socialism in the DPRK is not moved even by the worldwide political turmoil but brings about epoch-making changes in all fields of politics, military affairs, the economy and culture.

As long as there exists imperialism, the people’s cause of independence, the cause of socialism is accompanied by the acute confrontation with enemy. It is a matter of particular importance for socialist Korea, who has struggled against imperialism and the US through generations and centuries, to defend dignity and sovereignty of the nation and gains of the revolution from the imperialist aggression.

The WPK proved in practice the justness of the people’s cause of independence, the cause of socialism and the inevitability of its victory.

By leading the struggle to defend socialism and build a prosperous country with success in the worst conditions and circumstances, the WPK proved that the people’s cause of independence is a justice and socialism is a science.

Through the protracted struggle of history, the WPK showed that socialism and justice are still alive on this planet and they are stronger than the imperialists’ high handedness and arbitrariness. Like this, the WPK proved the truth that nothing can check the trend of the times toward anti-imperialism, independence and socialism.

The Korean socialism is an invincible socialism, in which the leader, the Party and the masses are united single-heartedly.

In the DPRK, the entire Party, the whole army and all the people are firmly rallied around the leader in idea and purpose, morality and obligation and the whole society forms a big family in which all its members help and lead one another forward with comradeship, which is the essential feature of the socialism in the DPRK and the source of its inexhaustible strength. This unity guarantees political stability and solidity of the state and the society and becomes a powerful driving force that defends the socialist country and press ahead the revolution and construction.

Through his energetic external activities, President Kim Il Sung made great contributions to the cause of global independence. The President held high the banner of independence, the banner of international justice and conducted positive activities to check and frustrate the dominationist moves by imperialist reactionaries, to strengthen and develop the world socialist movement, to achieve the victory in the cause of anti-imperialism and independence, to establish independent and fair international relations and to achieve peace and security in the world.

History proves that the cause of the independence of the masses, the socialist cause, will advance and be completed with victory only when the people hold fast to President Kim Il Sung’s ideas and exploits.

President Kim Il Sung, who authored the guiding ideology of the era of independence and laid a lasting foundation for the accomplishment of the people’s cause of the independence, the socialist cause, will be immortal as the great leader of the people, as the sun of Juche.
