    President Kim Il Sung put forward the line of the anti-Japanese armed struggle as the basic line of anti-Japanese national liberation struggle in his report to the historic Kalun meeting on June 30, 1930. This is the historic occasion that declared the Songun idea to the world.

     President Kim Il Sung wrote in his reminiscences “With the Century” as follows:

    “In my draft report I put it forward as the basic line of the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle, as the foremost task for the Korean communists, to wage a comprehensive anti-Japanese war.”

    The line of armed struggle advanced in Kalun meeting becomes the declaration of the creation of the Songun idea. It is because, in a word, the line is an idea that clarifies the essence of the Songun idea of shaping out and advancing the revolution with arms.

    At Kalun meeting, he clarified that it is impossible to destroy the Japanese imperialists armed to the teeth and achieve the independence of the country with peaceful method. He also illuminated that waging a comprehensive anti-Japanese war is the only righteous way to save the destiny of the country and nation from the colonial oppression of the Japanese imperialists.

    The line clarifies the principle and law of the revolution that the arms of the revolution guarantee the independence and prosperity of the country and nation.

    Like this, the line of armed struggle put forward by President Kim Il Sung at Kalun is the idea and line illuminating the essence of the Songun idea. Therefore, Kalun meeting is the historic meeting that declared the creation of the Songun idea to the world.
