Road Illuminated for Progressive Political Parties

    President Kim Il Sung provided the people in the countries aspiring after independence with precious experiences achieved in the Juche-oriented Party building and activities with his energetic external activities to illuminate the road ahead of them.

    He received the delegation of Democratic Left Party of Ecuador in May 1991 and had a talk with them. At the talks he told in detail how the DPRK was adhering to socialism without being moved by any change and achieving big successes in the revolution and construction.

    Saying that he always believes in the people and there is nothing impossible if one respects the people’s will and relies on their strength, he explained in detail about the historic process that the DPRK had won victory in two occasions of war and built socialism on the debris after the war. He said that the Japanese imperialists made various maneuveres to divorce the anti-Japanese guerillas from the people in the period of anti-Japanese armed struggle but they could not disturb the people’s support for him and the anti-Japanese guerillas. He said that the Korean People’s Army and people fought heroically sacrificing everything for the Party and the motherland in the Fatherland Liberation War period looking back with deep emotion upon the fact that he provided his people with confidence and courage to mobilize them to the postwar reconstruction in the period of postwar reconstruction.

    President Kim Il Sung clarified the reason why socialism was collapsed in the East European countries…Socialism was collapsed in the East European countries because their leaders did not believe in the people and lead them properly. The rulers of the East European socialist countries believed in big countries more than their people, accordingly their countries were ruined after collapse of the big countries.

    His saying was run through with the idea that it is one’s own way, the way of Juche to make revolution and construction by believing in one’s people and in accordance with their interests and that one will not be moved by any change in situation but surely achieve victory if one relies on inexhaustible strength of the people.

    Admired by his programmatic instruction, members of the delegation were determined to have a new start.

    When the delegation of Revolutionary Party of Tanzania headed by the general secretary of the Party visited the DPRK in June 1991, the President gave them detailed explanation in order to ensure the Revolutionary Party of Tanzania that was longing for socialism to have a correct understanding about the collapse of socialism in some countries.

    In June 1994 when he met the chairman of the central committee of the Labor Party of Belgium, he instructed that the secret that the DPRK could advance the socialist construction with success was that it firmly adhered to the line of independence in the Party activities.

    The President’s teaching on making the revolution and construction independently served as a precious guideline which encouraged the revolutionary parties aspiring socialism to actively advance with the banner of socialism.
