Long history of the Korean revolution records patriotic devotion of the mothers who have always shared the fate with the Party by braving through all manners of hardships with strong will.
President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il regarded the women as a powerful force and made big efforts for their independent dignity and genuine life. As they had the President and the Chairman in high esteem, fundamental change was made in the destiny and status, ideological and moral trait and role of the mothers and other women in the DPRK who had suffered from national humiliation, deprivation of political rights, social inequality and colonial fetters and new history of respecting women started on their land. The President and the Chairman took warm care of political integrity and living conditions of the mothers and appreciated highly even their small deed. In the benevolent bosom of the President and the Chairman, many mothers became heroes, merited workers and innovators of the era enjoying a worthwhile life.
Inheriting noble intention of the President and the Chairman, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un leads all mothers to live and work as patriotic women who dedicate themselves to prosperity of the country and happiness of the posterities. The Supreme Leader saw that the Mother’s Day was celebrated with significance amid blessings of the whole country and the 4th national meeting of mothers held. He also saw that monumental edifices were built on the highest level for mothers and children and the mothers who gave birth to and raised many children held up as mother heroes. In the speech made before the participants of the 2nd meeting of active wives of KPA officers, the Supreme Leader highly praised the KPA officers’ wives by saying that they are delicate mothers of the posterities who shoulder the future of the country as well as reliable assistant markswomen who defend the revolution at the same post with their husbands with arms in hands, and eternal cooks of the revolution. The Korean people keep his trust and love for them deep in their minds.
The DPRK mothers have big pride of being blessed with the great sun and are now devoting themselves to adding luster to the new era of Juche revolution with noble loyalty and patriotic devotion. The excellent DPRK mothers, who are always loyal to the cause of the Party and fulfill their duty assigned by the country and nation, are the big pride of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the Korean people.
