    It was on November 16 some years ago.

    Every part of the country including streets, villages and the People’s Army posts were seethed with joy and delight on the occasion of the first Mothers’ Day.

    That evening, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un told the officials that it is the Mothers’ Day which the state newly instituted. The Supreme Leader expressed his satisfaction with the fact that measures were taken to sell cards of congratulation on the occasion of the Mothers’ Day and that the people sent cards to their mothers and had dinner with them at restaurants.

    The Supreme Leader said that on Mothers’ Day the people congratulate their mothers fathoming hidden efforts of mothers in the country. His words moved the officials.

    That day was November 16 when the whole country expressed thanks to the Supreme Leader who fathomed mind of the mothers who do not want any compensation or appreciation but faithfully devote themselves to their children though it is very hard to bring them up.
