    In the forming ceremony, he said that the formation of Down-with-Imperialism Union is the declaration of the fierce struggle to smash the Japanese imperialism and the declaration of confrontation with the imperialism in the world.

    He further appealed that the young pioneers of a new generation should stand in the van of this grand struggle. The ardent youth members of the Down-with-Imperialism Union should smash the vicious Japanese imperialists and achieve Korea’s liberation, overcoming all difficulties with strong will and revolutionary spirit. And they must fight bravely to remove all imperialists on the earth…

    The declaration of the fierce fight against imperialism mentioned in the programme of the DIU is the declaration of the staunch anti-imperialist stand to smash the imperialism at any cost with force of arms with death-defying preparation.

    The declaration of the Down-with-Imperialism made in his teenage is the immortal banner of victory in ushering in a new era and this implicitly carries the Songun revolutionary idea.

    When he declared the overall confrontation with the imperialism after forming the Down-with-Imperialism Union, great leader Kim Il Sung was 15 years old.
