One day officials told Chairman Kim Jong Il that they would become green leaves of a big tree when they expressed their resolution to devote themselves to prosperity of the country.

The Chairman said that officials should be roots which support the country and revolution adding that meaning of a root is bigger than that of a leaf from the revolutionary point of view.

Saying that roots should be strong in order to make a tree healthy, the Chairman explained that a big tree stands imposingly with thick branches and leaves as it has strong roots. The officials were moved by the Chairman’s explanation.
