Chairman
One summer day in 2004 when he was told that success was made in breeding the high-yielding crops, the Chairman came to the farm.
Seeing the high-yielding crops one by one, the Chairman stressed once again that seeds are fundamental to cultivating crops. The Chairman said that it was necessary not to rest content with the success but make continuous efforts to secure better high-yielding strains for the complete solution of the people’s food.
Next year he visited the farm again. Looking round the farm fields for a long time, the Chairman said that special attention should be paid to the breeding of more high-yielding strains that suit climate and soil of the country as the seed revolution is important in implementing the Party’s agricultural revolution. The Chairman continued that it was important to produce and supply enough seeds of new variety needed in each area and farm and introduce in time the newly-bred seeds in agricultural production.
