It was on January 20, 1996 after the conference of the League of Socialist Working Youth of Korea, which was declared as Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, had been held.
When he met youth workers, Chairman Kim Jong Il said that the Workers’ Party of Korea put forward a slogan Love the Youth! on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of the LSWYK.
He said that the slogan reflected the great benevolence of President Kim Il Sung, who trained the young people to be reliable reserves of and successors to the Party and the revolution and led them to perform heroic feats, the warm love and care of the Party that valued them and defended and realized their revolutionary optimism and hope and the big trust and expectations of the Party and the people for them.
