    Nearly 60 years have elapsed since the firework of victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was displayed in Korea.

    July 27 is a meaningful day when the Korean people defeated the US imperialists and defended their national sovereignty honourably under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

    The victory in the Korean War is a proud fruition born by the outstanding military idea, strategy and tactics of the President and his extraordinary art of commanding the Army.

    The history of victory achieved by the President was brilliantly inherited by Chairman Kim Jong Il who is the most brilliant commander.

    The exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung in leading the war of the 1950s to victory were inherited through generations because they had the outstanding and seasoned Songun revolutionary leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

    The Chairman inherited, deepened and developed brilliantly the President’s Juche-oriented idea and line of giving importance to military affair to establish the Songun politics, the powerful mode of socialist politics and displayed fully the dignity of the country and nation by dint of Songun.

    In the grave period of Arduous March determining whether the Korean people defend the dignity and honour as the independent people or become slaves of imperialists, the Chairman saved the destiny of the country and nation with ceaseless long journey of Songun.

    Thanks to Chairman Kim Jong Il’s leadership of Songun the DPRK has displayed might of an invincible political and military giant that no strong enemy can dare to attack and the ever-victorious history of the Songun revolution was continued through generations and centuries.

    Chairman Kim Jong Il directed big efforts to preparing the entire soldiers and people politically and ideologically and fortifying the whole country into an impregnable bulwark with the leadership of Songun revolution. The Songun leadership of the Chairman, who made his soldiers and people have the spirit of devotedly defending the country, thorough class self-awareness and the Juche-oriented view on war and implement the WPK’s policy of equipping the entire people with arms and turning the whole country fortification, is clearly expressed in the Chol Pass, the Height 351, the Cho Islet and every part of the country.

    With the Songun politics of the great Chairman the Korean soldiers and people could be prepared politically and ideologically, militarily and technically and fortify the whole country into an impregnable fortress, thus inheriting the victorious July 27.
