    The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il devoted his continuous energy to add luster to the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung who led the Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953) to brilliant victory.

    There is a saying that a drop of water mirrors the universe. Kim Jong Il’s dedication to finely set up the historic site of the Fatherland Liberation War clearly proves it.

    The historic site of the Fatherland Liberation War is the revolutionary site associated with the exploits of the President who led the Korean people to victory in the period of the Korean War.

    President Kim Il Sung stationed himself at the site from January 1951 to the end of the war to arouse the Korean people to victory in the war and, with his extraordinary wisdom and strategy and tactics, brought about the beginning of decline for the US imperialists who boasted of being "the strongest" in the world.

    At the historic site, there is a commanding post of the Supreme Command.

    An over-house was built to protect the commanding post to preserve the post cleanly even in any natural damage.

    The over-house is associated with the noble loyalty of the respected General Kim Jong Il to add luster to the exploits of the President Kim Il Sung performed for victory in the War.

    It was on Sunday in one year.

    The respected General Kim Jong Il stopped at the building of the commanding post of the Supreme Command, looking at the post carefully for a while.

    He said that it would be good to consider the issues of preserving the historic buildings in the commanding post permanently.

    He gave the instructions related with the building of over-house saying that it would prevent the building from being weathered by rain and snow if over-house was built.

    He visited the commanding post after he received the report on the completion of the over-house. He said that how pleased the President would be if the over-house was built in his lifetime and he repeatedly said how it would be pleased to do so.

    One day in April, Juche 87 (1998), he visited again the historic site of the Fatherland Liberation War. Looking at the finely built over-house with satisfaction, he was pleased saying that the commanding post of the Supreme Command could be preserved permanently as it was the historic building representative of the Fatherland Liberation War period.

    Today, the visitors to this site recollect once again the world of loyalty of the General Kim Jong Il who dedicated his all to add luster to the exploits of President Kim Il Sung performed in the victory in the war, while listening to the story of building the over-house.
