With the founding of the DPRK approaching in 1948, Kim Il Sung put his heart and soul into the drafting of the Constitution of the Republic.
One day, an official went to the office of Kim Il Sung.
Kim Il Sung was reading codes of other countries without having a short rest even at lunch time.
The official told Kim Il Sung that he was not aware that Kim Il Sung was making a study of laws though he was busy with preparations for the founding of the Republic.
Wearing a big smile on his face, Kim Il Sung said that he was very busy in these days but reading many books related to laws. Kim Il Sung explained that all laws in an exploiter society were tools to defend interests of a tiny handful of exploiter class and oppress and exploit at its will the absolute majority of working masses.
Kim Il Sung continued that the country was going to make the people’s law, different completely from the ones in history and defending thoroughly the interests of the people, and that it was necessary to make profound study of the laws to perfect the genuine laws of the people.
Thanks to Kim Il Sung, the genuine people’s constitution was promulgated along with the founding of the DPRK.
