Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the Mirim Riding Club one day in the mid-November 2012.
The riding club was then a training ground for riding of the People’s Army soldiers.
Riding on the tracks, the Supreme Leader examined them in detail. He said that the tracks were in good condition and it was suitable for riding exercise.
The Supreme Leader said… I planned to turn the training ground into a riding place for physical training of the working people, youth and students. So I assigned the task to draw its miniature to the relevant sector and today I have come to the spot in order to take account of its situation.
The Korean people who had gone through the Arduous March and the forced march could never dream of enjoying riding at a world-level riding club.
Looking at officials who were in excitement and delight, the Supreme Leader said with earnest… Rebuilding the training ground for riding associated with immortal exploits of the peerlessly great persons into a riding club is an important work to build the Chairman’s legacy more brilliantly and keep it better.
That day the Supreme Leader said with broad smile… Riding is good for the people to foster bravery and boldness. As roller-skate courses have been built up everywhere, the wind of roller skating is raised now in Pyongyang City. If a riding ground is built, the wind of riding will also be raised. The working people and young students will frequent this well-built riding club to do riding exercises, train their bodies and minds and feel delight of living a life. Now that it will be newly rebuilt in the Mirim area, it can be named the Mirim Riding Club. The People’s Army must build a good riding ground true to the Party’s intention, thus making positive contribution to the people’s happy life.
There must be riding among amusements and entertainments the people can enjoy, and therefore it is necessary to spare nothing to build the best riding club for the people. It was noble intention of the Supreme Leader and he was making devotion to realize it.
