One day Chairman Kim Jong Il told a leading official of the Korean People’s Army that he would go to Panmunjom on the military demarcation line.
The official earnestly told the Chairman not to go there as it was very dangerous.
Kim Jong Il asked him with smile on his face if there were not any KPA soldiers but enemies in Panmunjom. Saying that he regards Panmunjom as a place where his soldiers stay before an area of confrontation with the enemy, Kim Jong Il said that he would be relaxed only when he visited the soldiers in the area and encouraged them. Then he left for Panmunjom, the hottest spot.
