When the Mozambican people’s struggle for independence and liberation of the country encountered numbers of difficulties entering the 1970s, the president of the then Liberation Front of Mozambique visited the DPRK out of desire to receive President Kim Il Sung’s instructions.
Kim Il Sung had a meeting with the president and gave him valuable instructions.
Through Kim Il Sung’s instructions, he found clear solutions to the problems with which he had been in agony. So he expressed thanks to Kim Il Sung by saying “Thank you, Comrade Kim Il Sung. I’ve found the solutions…I’ve gained confidence. Comrade Kim Il Sung, thank you, indeed.”
When he went back home, he defeated foreign invaders and achieved independence of the country in June 1975.
On the day when his country achieved independence, he said that his people could win victory as Comrade Kim Il Sung illuminated the way ahead of their struggle and, therefore, they ought to say thank you to Comrade Kim Il Sung in reflection of their forefathers who had sacrificed themselves for independence of the country.
