One day in February 1965, leader Kim Jong Il gave a precious teaching to the officials on the issue of people’s livelihood.

He told the officials that the people trust their destiny on the Party calling it motherly Party and in order to fulfil their responsibility and role as the officials of the motherly Party and live up to the people’s expectation and trust, the officials should possess genuine motherly character. Then he told about the feelings and disposition of mothers who devote everything for their children.

It is the mothers’ feeling to give everything nice in the world to their children and disposition to take responsibility despite any difficulties and danger. The mind of a mother who cares for her children is the purest, generous and true. That’s why children turn to their mother when they are happy or not and even when they grow up to adults. …

The officials who were taught by Kim Jong Il remembered the affection of their mothers who gave birth to and brought up them.

Looking around the officials, Kim Jong Il said the word mother has a meaning that the devotion and efforts a mother pays to a child is fathomless; mothers take it their pleasure and proud to take trouble for children; and he told the officials that there would be nothing impossible in improving the people’s livelihood when they possess such mother’s heart and character and exert themselves for the good of the people before anything else.

In his precious teaching was a noble will that all officials should be the true servants of the people who work devotedly for them with warm heart of a mother.
