In April 2015, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un met on spot the fighter pilots of the Korean People’s Army who had successfully made excursions to the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu.
Kim Jong Un said that he was feeling like meeting the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters in the battle area of Mt. Paektu, adding that he could not repress his yearning for meeting the pilots while looking at their picture taken during the tour.
He said he made a long journey, shelving all the state affairs, not only to show his love for the fighter pilots but also to implant the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of blizzards of Paektu, deeper in the hearts of them who spent the Day of the Sun, the greatest national holiday, in snow-stormy Mt. Paektu area.
He continued that only the strong possessed of an indomitable faith of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters who had kept the revolutionary faith, can defend blue sky of the country.
