    The revolutionary history of President Kim Il Sung, the great man descended from the Heaven is full of legendary stories, adding glory along with times. A meaningful fact took place on his birthday.

    Leader Kim Jong Il said that President Kim Il Sung can be said to be the man descended from the Heaven.

    It was April in one year. Unprecedented drought lasted for a long time, so the land was dried up and the water level of reservoirs was lowered considerably.

    The frequent rain in spring helps the farming, so the people say this is medical rain since long time ago.

    But that year, rain didn’t fall even far after the first rainfall season. The new shoots were withering away, giving troubles to sowing in cooperative farms.

    The people were anxiously waiting for rain.

    President Kim Il Sung who worried most about the farming because of drought damage started to give on-the-spot guidance to the western area of Korea which suffered from big drought damage, a few days before his birthday.

    He inspected several farms and taught the ways of preventing drought and spent busy time while consulting the officials. His car ran on and on amidst rising dust columns caused by drought.

    The officials and farmers were anxiously waiting for the rain that would remove the dust on his road of inspection, the medical rain that would reduce his worry even a little.

    The officials who accompanied him had big anxiety.

    April 15 was oncoming but he did not plan to go back to Pyongyang.

    An official asked him better to go back to Pyongyang.

    The President said that if they are sincerely in favour of him, they should think about how to overcome the drought.

    Looking up to President Kim Il Sung who worries about the drought damage of the farming, they regretted their childish thought.

    In the morning of meaningful April 15, however, a surprising fact occurred. As if the Heaven worked miracle, the weather suddenly changed at night. Clouds gathered and rain dropped in the sky which had been high and blue even the previous day.

    The officials were so happy that they shouted at the rain.

    At the moment, President Kim Il Sung came outside, saying it was very pleasant news to have rain.

    With his hands at hip, he looked up the sky and stood in the rain for a long time. He cupped his hands for the rain water and said it was medical rain in a satisfied voice. He laughed looking at the officials and said that he was so happy with rain and feels at ease.

    He did not mind getting wet and walked for a long time in the garden, thinking about welcome rainfall in the fields.

    The spring rain they waited anxiously came in the morning of April holiday wetting through the land. The farmers in the western area were happy that they had rain after the President’s visit to the field. They could not help admiring it.
