Juche

    There are Workers’ Party of Korea, the Korean Social Democratic Party and the Chondoist Chongu Party in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

    The WPK regards the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung, developed and enriched by Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as the fundamental guide of the Party building and activities and applies principles of the Juche idea, thus ensuring firmly the monolithic ideology and unified leadership of the leader throughout the Party and the society and realizing the single-minded unity of the whole Party.

    The WPK founded on October 10, 1945 by President Kim Il Sung, the founding father of socialist Korea, is now dynamically advancing towards the final victory in the building of a powerful socialist country, holding Kim Jong Il as the eternal General Secretary of the WPK and firmly uniting behind Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in one mind and will.

    The WPK is the ruling party and its mark has a hammer, a sickle and a writing brush to symbolize its revolutionary and popular character of the Party whose components are the working class, peasants and intellectuals.

    The Korean Social Democratic Party is a democratic and patriotic political party that champions demand of the Korean people of various strata and interests of the nation and struggles for justice of the society.

    The Korean Democratic Party, its predecessor, was founded on November 3, 1945 on the initiative of champions of progressive democracy and nationalism and men of religion and reorganized as the Korean Social Democratic Party in January 1981 proceeding from the objective requirement of social development and the lawful requirement of its development.

    The Chondoist Chongu Party is an independent and democratic political party which makes activities in defence of interests of the Korean nation and believers in Chondoism.

    The Chondoist Chongu Party was founded on February 8, 1946 in reflection of the people’s aspiration and desire to liquidate aftermath of colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists and build a new society in Korea.

    The Chondoist Chongu Party has as its guide the Tonghak’s(Korean religion) idea of Innaechon(Man and God are one) and inherits the spirit of independence of the nation which has demonstrated the honor of being a homogeneous nation for a long time of over 5 000 years and the tradition of patriotism and national unity created by the forerunners in the sacred struggle against the Japanese imperialists for national liberation.
