    Yongil Bomb was made by anti-Japanese guerillas on their own efforts under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung in the early period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle. It has been known also as a bomb or a hand grenade of the Anti-Japanese Guerilla Army.

    The bomb was very powerful. The Japanese imperialists in the Yanji area, China were defeated so seriously and astonished so much by the bombs of the guerillas that they even called the bomb “Yongil Bomb” shivering from horror. As a result, the Yongil Bomb became widely known to the world.

    It was highly effective and convenient to carry. The bomb was greatly conducive to strengthening the military equipment of the Anti-Japanese Guerilla Army.
