Issue of young people now presents as the knottiest problem in the world.
It is the current situation that the young people, infected by extreme misanthropy and mammon, degeneration and weariness of life, cause serious social problems and sorrowful tragedies of bloodshed and discord everywhere in the world.
However, those in the DPRK demonstrate honour of being the young vanguard who play an advanced and positive role in the revolutionary struggle and construction work.
Vanguard is the people or groups who stand in the van of a certain social collective or class and play a leading and active role in the struggle to pave the way.
Young vanguard is a noble title which only the DPRK young people can have as they are educated and trained under the care of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The DPRK young people fulfill their responsibility and duty of being young vanguard befitting not only the passionate youth who are always faithful and brave in following the Party’s plan and decision and bringing them into reality but the powerful creators who vigorously create a new history of changes through their indomitable struggle for the future.
All victories and successes recorded in the history of development of the Republic and the grand monumental edifices erected in different parts of the country are associated with heroic merits of the young people who have made efforts with ardent loyalty and patriotic devotion.
In recent years they have made contribution to the building of many new streets including Jonwi, Songhwa and Saeppyol Streets and new flats at the four stages in the Hwasong area by participating in building 50 000 flats in Pyongyang which the Party has long intended, prepared for and aspired to do.
With the Party’s regional development plan and decision as a supreme order, they also contributed to the construction of monumental edifices including the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm out of boundless patriotism, loyalty and indomitable pioneering spirit and through a heroic struggle.
Like this, the DPRK young people opt for hardship and self-cultivation, instead of enjoyment and comfort, regarding it as a worthwhile choice of their youth in the period of changes unprecedented in the history of development of the Republic, and cultivate their strong will and enthusiastic spirit of being able to overcome difficulties, making innovations and doing patriotic work, thus fully adding lustre to their noble title and honour of being youth vanguard.
