Juche

The Latin American regional seminar on the Juche idea under the title “Independence, World Peace and Social Justice” was held from May 3 to 4, 2025 in Mexico City.

Hung on the front wall of the venue of the seminar were portraits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The immortal classic works of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un were on display at the venue.

Present at the seminar were director general, vice-director general, directors of the Latin American Institute of the Juche idea, chiefs of the Juche idea study groups in the Latin American region including Peru, Colombia, Chile and Costa Rica, members of the delegation of the IIJI secretariat and the figures from political, public and academic circles. Secretary general of the IIJI was also present there through video.

Congratulatory messages sent by the Korean Association of Social Scientists, the Juche idea institutes in each region and the Juche idea study groups in many countries were introduced and congratulatory speeches and debates were made there.

Speakers noted that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un formulated the Juche idea, founded by the President and developed and enriched by the Chairman, into Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and elucidated that the essence of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the people-first principle and its core is devoted service for the people.

Saying that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un dynamically steps up the socialist construction by relying on the united strength of the people and the powerful national defence capabilities, they voiced that the DPRK won victory in the anti-imperialist, anti-US struggle and holds fast to the independence as lifeline of the state and nation, thus opening up the era of independence.

Noting that the countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region should develop all fields including politics and the economy in keeping with their actual conditions and cultivate strength of self-respect along the path of independence clarified by the Juche idea, they stressed that the anti-imperialist independent forces in the region should firmly unite to wage joint struggle against high-handedness and pressure of imperialism.

The participants saw presentation showing proud entities made by the DPRK people in the struggle in 2024, the first year for implementing the Regional Development 20×10 Policy, under the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s energetic leadership of devoted service for the people’s wellbeing, and the happiness of the DPRK people and children.

A letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted with applause of participants at the seminar.
