Juche

On the occasion of the 111^th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 45^th founding anniversary of the International Institute of the Juche Idea (IIJI), a seminar on the Juche idea was held in Tokyo, Japan on April 15, 2023 under the co-sponsorship of the Japanese National Liaison Council of Societies for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and the IIJI.

Participated there were personages from the Juche idea study societies in Japan and Japan-Korea friendship organization, officials of Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Korea University in Chongryon, secretary-general of the IIJI, secretaries-general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea (ESSJI) and the Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea and a director of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea (ARIJI).

Congratulatory messages were sent to the seminar by the Korean Association of Social Scientists and several personages including director-general and vice director-general of the ESSJI, director-general of the ARIJI and secretary-general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea.

The seminar was chaired by IIJI secretary-general Kenich Ogami and speeches made by Masaji Ie, co-representative of the Japanese National Liaison Council of Societies for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and Pak Ku Ho, the 1^st vice-chairman of the central standing committee and director of the organizational department of Chongryon.

Pak noted that the socialist cause of Juche, the cause of independence against imperialism has advanced vigorously without any setback though the world was driven into a vortex of unimaginable upheavals and the people suffered from such unprecedented turns and twists as the collapse of socialism in many countries for several decades in the past.

Saying that the DPRK people are united firmly as one to build a more affluent and cultured people-centered country, Pak noted that the global independence became an irretrievable trend of the times and bigger importance was attached to the role of the IIJI.

The speeches were followed by lectures.

IIJI director-general Ramon Jimenez Lopez said that the founding of the IIJI was inconceivable apart from President Kim Il Sung. He said that the President gave valuable instructions as regards with the founding of the institute.

He continued that the study and dissemination of the Juche idea was made without letup even in anti-socialist propaganda campaigns, ceaseless threats to the DPRK and the world political upheavals. He wished all participants in the seminar widely study and disseminate Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, thus making contributions to the global independence.

Matteo Carbonelli, secretary-general of the ESSJI, Eleazar Rubio Aldaran, secretary-general of the Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea praised noble traits and great exploits of the President and introduced the principle of independence clarified by the Juche idea and the situations of studying and disseminating the Juche idea in the Latin American region.

IIJI director Takao Kamakura disclosed barbarity and high-handedness and aggressive and predatory nature of imperialism. Highly praising the powerful military capabilities of the DPRK, he insisted that it was necessary to strengthen solidarity with anti-imperialist forces and maintain independence to realize peace.

Han Tong Song, president of Korea University in Chongryon, explained the main contents of the work Our Social Sciences Should Render an Active Contribution to Accomplishing the Cause of Modelling the Whole Society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, a letter sent on December 1, 2012 by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to scientists and officials of the Academy of Social Sciences who marked its 60^th founding anniversary.

He expressed his will to make more profound study of the Juche idea with the immortal work as a guideline and proactively exchange with the Juche idea followers throughout the world, thus rendering contributions to the cause of independence.

A letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar.

The letter noted that the Juche idea, authored by President Kim Il Sung, was systematized in an integrated way and developed and enriched into a guiding ideology of the era of independence by H.E. Kim Jong Il and formulated as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism by H.E. Kim Jong Un.

Praising that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un makes the Republic demonstrate dignity and grandeur in the eyes of the world, it said that the DPRK led by H.E. Kim Jong Un serves as a milestone of independence and socialism aspired by the world people.

The letter noted that, looking back upon the proud history of the IIJI with reverence for President Kim Il Sung and admiration about his brilliant perspicacity and insight, the Juche idea followers paid their sincere respects to the President.

It stressed that they would cherish President Kim Il Sung’s encouragement deep in their mind and learn from H.E. Kim Jong Un, thus striving to the last for the building of an independent new world under the banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
