An event held at Progre School, Mali on April 29, 2023 to mark the 5th anniversary of naming a class as “Kim Il Sung Class” and the 30th founding anniversary of the school.

Participated there were over 100 people including the director, the former and the incumbent principals of the school, the chief of school affairs, chairperson of association of students’ parents, the administrative official and chief of the Juche idea study group of the school, teaching staffs, students and their parents, TV journalists and pressmen.

At the venue of the event, the students held in hands the national flags of the DPRK and the Republic of Mali and national anthems of the countries were played. Congratulatory speeches were made.

All participants looked round classrooms of “Kim Il Sung Class” and “Kim Jong Il Class”, made bows before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and

Chairman Kim Jong Il and had a tea party. They had talks about bilateral friendly relations of the two countries.

Saying that 30-year history of the school is the history of friendship with the DPRK, the director noted that the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Progre School of Mali established from his father’s generation would be invariably cemented and developed in the future, too, and brilliance would be added to the classes and classrooms named after H.E. President Kim Il Sung and H.E. Chairman Kim Jong Il along with the school year after year.
