On the occasion of the 70^th anniversary of victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953), the Brazilian Centre for the Study of the Songun Politics, the Brazilian Branch of the Association of Friendship with the DPRK and the Brazil-Cuba Solidarity Committee cosponsored a solidarity meeting in Brazil on July 22, 2023, and the Institute of Political Economy in Venezuela Bolivar University issued a congratulatory statement on July 26, 2023.

The meeting was attended by over 50 persons including the leading figures and members from the centre, the branch and the committee. At the meeting, the chairman of the centre said that, in the Korean war, US imperialists perpetrated masses massacres, a crime that put even Hitlerite Nazis to shame, including the use of chemical and germ weapons and turned numerous cities and farm villages in the DPRK to ashes. He stressed that the DPRK people inflicted an ignominious defeat on US imperialism under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung adding that the great victory won by the DPRK people in 3-year war is inconceivable without his wise military and political guidance.

In the congratulatory statement, the Institute of Political Economy in Venezuela Bolivar University extended fraternal and joint greetings to the DPRK people who mark the 70^th anniversary of victory in the war. Reaffirming its will to deepen the study and learning of the Juche idea and the great DPRK people and consolidate scientific ties between the two countries on the principle of solidarity and respect for international law, the institute noted that it would translate into reality the behests of President Kim Il Sung who taught that to achieve victory of socialism, it is necessary to strengthen the class alliance between the socialist countries, the unity and cohesion of the socialist camp and these must be made invincible.
