Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- The DPRK government hosted a reception at the Mokran House in celebration of the successful launch of the reconnaissance satellite "Malligyong-1" on Nov. 23, at a time when the whole country is in a festive mood with great pride of having a great event to be notably recorded in the history of building the ever-victorious revolutionary armed forces of Juche.

Present at the reception as guests of honor were officials, scientists and technicians of the National Aerospace Technology Administration (NATA).

Amid the playing of the welcome music, Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, appeared at the reception venue with his beloved daughter and wife and the participants raised stormy cheers.

All the participants enthusiastically cheered, expressing thanks to the great farther who finally ensured the successful launch of reconnaissance satellite for the uninterrupted development of the armed forces of the DPRK and showed such paternal love for the space scientists after having a photo session with them.

Present there were Kim Tok Hun, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, Choe Son Hui, minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Jong Sik, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, and Jang Chang Ha, general director of the DPRK General Missile Bureau.

Kim Tok Hun made an address at the reception.

On behalf of the DPRK government, the premier of the Cabinet extended heartfelt thanks and warm congratulations to the officials, scientists and technicians of the NATA for having presented to the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK a valuable and powerful treasured sword through the successful launch of the first reconnaissance satellite to be run by the Korean People's Army and made a big contribution to realizing the Juche-oriented military strategy of the WPK.

The successful launch of reconnaissance satellite "Malligyong-1" brought a new phase to the DPRK armed forces' military activities and developed the Korean People's Army into the world's best army possessed of capability for striking the whole world.

He said that all the people and service members of the Republic gave rapturous applause and raised stormy cheers of hurrah over the first reconnaissance satellite - one of the gains of the revolution and precious strategic asset of the country which reminds them of the devoted efforts by the space scientists and workers who have staked their fate on the struggle of creation to defend the country's interests and champion its sovereign rights and dedicated themselves.

The premier said that the patriotic feats of the officials, scientists and technicians of the NATA, who demonstrated the dignity and national prestige of the DPRK to the whole world by launching the reconnaissance satellite with their own efforts and technology true to the Party’s cause of building a powerful army, would always go down in the history of the country.

Stressing that all the officials, working people and all other people across the country will more firmly cherish confidence in victory, greatly encouraged by the remarkable feat and ardent patriotism shown by the reliable scientists who cherished absolute loyalty to the intention and leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as their lifeblood and made a habit of self-reliance and developing and creating Korean-style development, he called for steady and courageous struggle to surely attain the grand goals for building a socialist power set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea.

All the participants drank toasts to the good health of Kim Jong Un with determination to continuously realize Juche Korea's great dream of conquering space.

They were filled with the determination to turn out in the drive to rapidly develop the aerospace reconnaissance capability and bolster up the absolute might of the DPRK, in the same spirit as displayed in successfully carrying out the most important and prior task of the major five-point goals for developing the national defence capabilities set forth by the 8^th WPK Congress under the great leadership of Kim Jong Un.
